Moving the Middle
Moving the Middle is a 5-year MBIE-funded research programme led by Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research. It includes five projects looking at different ways to influence the willingness and ability of those on the land to take voluntary pro-environmental action. Agents of Change is one of those five projects.
In Agents of Change, our research looks at a wide range of different agents of pro-environmental change on land.
We are particularly interested in potentially powerful change agents, such as artists, who are less well-researched for their role in influencing what happens on the land. Our research investigates what agents do and how it might ultimately lead to pro-environmental impact.
Know Your Place is not only an opportunity to showcase artists as agents of change, but also to explore how experiencing art might lead to change.
Look out for our researchers at the different events; we’ll be wearing pale blue t-shirts, so come and tell us what you think!
